precision bowhunting whitetail deer
“Well last year, I read both of your books (Bowhunting Pressured Whitetails) and (Precision Bowhunting) and It opened the world of hunting up to me like I never imagined. Paying attention to the details like scent control, wind direction, scrapes, rub lines and doing all my scouting at the end of last season really paid off!” – Chris Hendrickson

"Bowhunting Whitetails The Eberhart Way"

Co Authored by John and Chris Eberhart

The father son The father son team from Michigan have once again joined forces in authoring “Bowhunting Whitetails The Eberhart Way”. Their new book will bring more new and exciting cutting-edge insights into bowhunting for whitetails.

Does the hunting market really need another bowhunting book? No, it doesn’t need another generic, rehashed, general information book, but “Bowhunting Whitetails The Eberhart Way” is not just another “how to” book. These guy’s have been there done that like no other whitetail bowhunter’s in the media have. When they speak of hunting heavy consequential hunting pressure areas, they have done it and been very successful at it. They also have an extremely high rate of success on short term hunts for Pope & Young class bucks in lightly hunted states and areas.

When they state they have direct experience when hunting certain types of areas, they actually do. There are many writers, TV and video personalities that can intelligently talk about the generic hunting techniques they use in lightly hunted or managed areas to take mature bucks, but few can speak of the practices required to take mature bucks in heavily pressured areas where most hunters are targeting every legal antlered buck. Why? Because they don’t hunt in those types of areas.

Without either of them ever owning or leasing any hunting land, John has 23 bucks from 9 different counties listed in the Commemorative Bucks of Michigan recordbook and Michigan has the distinction of licensing more bowhunters every year than any other state. John also has 13 other Pope & Young class bucks from other states. Chris has taken 14 Pope & Young class bucks outside Michigan with many coming from public land. In one season Chris took P&Y class bucks in North Dakota, Minnesota, Missouri, Iowa, and Wisconsin while (other than license fees) spending less than $2,500. Many of their bucks both in Michigan and out of state have come from public lands.

They have both written articles for Deer & Deer Hunting, Peterson’s Bowhunting, Bowhunter Magazine, Bow and Arrow Hunting, and several regional magazines.

“Bowhunting Whitetails The Eberhart Way” offers a year round approach to taking mature whitetails starting during post season while scouting last falls all important rut sign. With nearly 60% of all Pope & Young entries being taken during the short rut phases, locating, setting up on, and leaving the area unmolested until the rut phases begin is critical for consistent success in heavy consequential hunting pressure areas.

Chapters include: Access, Scouting Tools, Post Season Scouting, Spring Scouting, Tree Saddle Setup, Scent Control Regiment, Exercise and Conditioning, Pre Season Speed Touring, Timing, Hunting Tools, Early Season, Mid Season Lull, Pre Rut, Rut, Post Rut, Late Season, Short Term Hunts, Public Land Hunting, Dealing with Rain Wind and Snow, Suburbs and Exurbs, Hunting from the Ground, Dealing with QDM and Bait, Hunting Standing Corn, Tactics Overview (Rattling, Calling, Decoys, Scents), After the Shot, Shot Follow-Up and Tracking, and Attitude and Success.

“Bowhunting Whitetails The Eberhart Way” was inked for bowhunters that want to take their game not to the next level, but to the top level. There are many color photos and short kill stories that lend credibility to their methods.
